Uncontrollable

 

I was young and totally in control

between the out of control train wrecks

my ego took over, and common sense soon vanished

to leave me uncontrollable

 

Got married and had a handful of children

who at times were adorably uncontrollable

Lived healthy as I could - knock on wood

and improved my diet as I should

but sometimes fell ill eating healthy and good

uncontrollable

 

one thing I can control is when

to laugh as I begin real slow

until it creeps way down low

and my belly laughs

uncontrollable

The Apiary (Plight of the Humble Bees)

Dew you know, of this wee place? It Bee BeeQueen, Fairhaven and Pleasant Hill, Bee Meadowgreen? In nature’s lea may Bee a scene. An active hive, so it seems! Do not be duped, for you must see! Look past the expanse of humanity. Is there a problem? There may not Bee. ‘Trust in God’ and you will see! Fruits borne of labor. The apiary. Beehold a lass toiling hard, Bee side the Bees in her backyard. Her grunts and groans are not alone. A harmonic symphony with the drones! What to name this harvest gold? Something new?  Invoke the auld? Will it be witty?  Will it rhyme? Will it stand the test of time? The dilemma therein is what to call The honey held so dear by all. Is there a problem?
